WHAT DOES THE NAME ZUSAMMENHUB STAND FOR?

A name as characteristic as the Elbinseln and its residents themselves. ZUSAMMENHUB stands for the pronounced cohesion and great neighbourhood solidarity on the Elbinseln and at the same time for the diverse range of services offered by the new complex. Being on the move together and sharing mobility, shopping together, doing sports or working together - in other words, this is the place where many people from different parts of Hamburg will meet every day. 

THE GOAL: TO OFFER ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ALTERNATIVES TO THE CAR

The ZUSAMMENHUB will provide local people with numerous new options for environmentally friendly travel. Transferring between different services becomes easier and offers attractive alternatives to the private car. With the electric bus depot, HOCHBAHN is creating an important prerequisite for the planned Hamburg-Takt - and new local jobs. If construction progresses ideally, it is planned to start in 2025, and commissioning could then take place in 2029.
