Henrik Falk

Chairman of the Management Board

Henrik Falk has been a Member of the Management Board of Hamburger Hochbahn AG since 1 January 2016 and Chairman of the Management Board since 1 February 2016. Mr. Falk also sits on the National Platform Future of Mobility of Germany’s Federal Government, the Policy Board UITP (“Union Internationale des Transports Publics”), the Presidium of the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV), the project steering group of the "Norddeutsches Reallabor" for the energy transition and the Board of Innovators at SQUARE/Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA). 

Prior to his post at HOCHBAHN, Henrik Falk headed the Finance and Sales division of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) between 1 November 2008 and 31 December 2015. 

From 1999 onwards, he had worked as a lawyer in Berlin, specialising in commercial law, and became a partner of a law firm in 2001. On 1 April 2004, Henrik Falk joined BVG as General Counsel and Head of the Board Division. From 2007 onwards he held the position of Managing Director of BVG-Beteiligungsholding. 

He studied Law at the Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin), and went on to acquire business-related qualifications in St. Gallen, Switzerland. 

After working as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Social Law in Munich, he completed his legal training in Paris and Berlin. 

Henrik Falk was born on 25 April 1970 in Berlin and is married with three children.
